This coming Monday will see 500 flags raised, marking Commonwealth Day.
Councils throughout the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are participating on 10th March.
Councillor Beverley Connolly will raise the flag in Oxted on behalf of Tandridge District Council, and the ceremony in the Memorial Gardens in Horley will be led by Councillor Richard Oliver.
A Commonwealth Affirmation and a message from Her Majesty The Queen will be read out before each flag is raised, starting 10 o’clock Monday morning.
