Crawley Pensioner Robbed

A woman in her 80s returned to her home in Crawley to find it ransacked.

Rings, chains, necklaces and bracelets were stolen in the burglary in Dower Walk, sometime between half-past six and half-past ten the evening of 19th March.

Photos of some of the missing jewellery can be seen on the Sussex Police website.

Meanwhile, a vulnerable couple in Woodfield Road have been targeted by burglars for a third time.

A man described as a 6ft tall white man, bald, and aged around 50, visited the 89-year-olds at their property last Friday afternoon (28th March) at 5 o’clock, requesting a pen and paper to leave a note for one of their neighbours.

He was in the room for several minutes and when he left, the victims noticed their home had been searched whilst they were distracted.

It is not yet known what was taken.
