A Gatwick Express train travelling towards London came to a halt last Wednesday morning (26th March) after part of its glass fibre moulding came away.
A section at the front of the train came loose at Earlswood and passengers became alarmed when the driver announced that the front part of his train was hanging off.
The train did manage to make it to Redhill at a reduced speed however after a temporary fix was put in place. The passengers then left the train and it was taken out of service.
