A man from Crawley has been reunited with his dog after two years thanks to a microchip and the quick work of community wardens.
The rare chihuahua pug crossbreed often known as a chugg, was taken, along with his brother, during a London house burglary two years ago.
Two years later, on the 29th March he was handed in to a pet store in Tilgate
.
Crawley Council’s Community Wardens were called and quickly established that Anil Malhotra was the young dog’s owner thanks to the information held in the dogs microchip.
From 6 April 2016 the law is changing to make microchips for dogs compulsory.
