Flood Repairs in Surrey

Surrey County Council has announced that it is spending an extra £23 million on repairing damage to the roads and bridges caused by flooding.

David Hodge says that the council will be investing in resurfacing 160km of roads, removing another 20,000 potholes and fixing approximately 30 damaged bridges.

£2 million is said to be invested into improving the county’s drainage systems.

The council are undertaking this reparation work on top of the work they are doing on Surrey Roads as part of operation horizon and say that this work will not be compromised by the new projects.
