Ex-Crawley Resident must repay more than £30,000 worth of profits after eBay fraud

An ex-Crawley resident will have to repay the 31 thousand pounds they made by fraudulently selling memory cards and USB drives on eBay.

The offender was convicted of false claims about the storage capacity of USB sticks and memory cards that they were selling through the internet auction site.

As well as repaying their ill gotten gains they’ll have to serve a 10 month suspended jail sentence for each charge.

They’ll also have to carry out 120 hours of community service and  to pay victims £100 and cover the full court costs which come to over £5,000.
