A £500,000 pot of cash from The Community Improvements Fund has had more than 60 bids from people wanting to improve their local area.
The fund was launched by Council leader David Hodge with the aim of supporting residents efforts to enhance their neighbourhoods.
Among those requesting between £10,000 and £30,000 are a sports club, a community shop and a scout group.
Further information about the fund can be found on Surrey County Council’s website.
