A vigilant neighbour helped foil a burglary in Southwater last Monday afternoon.

The neighbour heard an alarm coming from the house in King’s Lane around 5:30pm

A wooden gate and large window had been forced open, but intruders had fled and nothing was taken.

Sussex Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious around that time.
