Two men were arrested last Thursday (26 Feb) after attempts to steal from vans in a Crawley hotel car park.
At 8.25pm they were disturbed whilst trying to break into a parked van in the car park of the Sandman Hotel, Crawley Avenue, Crawley.
They made off in a silver Volvo S30. After a brief police chase the car collided with a parked car in The Birches nearby and was abandoned in the garden of a house there.
The occupants made off but following a search of the area with the assistance of a police helicopter and dog unit, the two men were found in gardens of a houses in adjacent Rye Ash.
Two men, aged 19 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle, and are currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.
Anyone who was in the Three Bridges area on Thursday evening, in particular Hazelwick Avenue and The Birches, and who saw the vehicle or the suspects is requested to contact the police via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting serial 911 of 26/2.
