The Surrey and Sussex Police Dog Section scooped eight trophies at the Regional Trials.
Police dogs and their handlers from Surrey and Sussex, Hampshire and Thames Valley and Kent participated in the two-day last Friday, (20 March) and Saturday (21 March).
Three of Surrey Police’s dogs and their handlers won the top awards having tackled a number of exercises including tracking, searching obedience and criminal work.
PC Graham Lightfoot and Police Dog (PD) Chester won the overall competition with PC Rob Male and PD Apollo coming second.
Overall the Surrey and Sussex Dog handlers achieved best aggregate marks of the trials and were awarded the Team trophy.
They will go on to represent the Region at the National Police Dog Trials in Scotland in May.
