A discarded cigarette is thought to have caused a fire in a Crawley garden last Friday (27th March).

The roof of a neighbouring house, several small trees and a wooden fence were damaged in the blaze in Rusper Road,  Ifield.

West Surrey Fire and rescue service, who attended the fire, took the opportunity to remind people of the dangers of disposing of cigarettes carelessly.
