Crawley is preparing to commemorate the 70th anniversary of VE day.
8th May celebrates the end of six years of war across Europe: 1939 – 1945.
There is a service planned in the Memorial Gardens followed by a 1940s style vintage tea party in Northgate from 4 o’clock. A beacon will then be lit in Tilgate Park in the evening.
A two-minute silence will be observed at 3 o’clock.
