A donation of arts and crafts materials, games and toys brought a smile to the faces of some of the East Surrey Hospital’s youngest patients this week.

Children were delighted with their new surprise gifts from WH Smith who run the hospital book shop.

Joanne Farrell, matron for children and young people thanked them for their donation.

She described how Art and play are proven to significantly improve a poorly child’s hospital experience.
