A man has absconded from prison.

Michael O’Rourke was serving a sentence for burglary and theft at Ford Open Prison when he was reported missing last Wednesday.

The 36-year old is believed to have got a taxi around 9 o’clock the evening of 6th May from Horsham railway station.

He is described as white, of medium build, around 5’8’’, with a shaved head and was last seen wearing grey jogging bottoms, white jumper and black trainers, and carrying a large green raincoat.

Members of the public who know of his whereabouts are asked not to approach him but dial 999 immediately.
