Parking on the pedestrianised area of Crawley High Street is now prohibited.
The Restricted Parking Zone, which runs from the entrance of Pegler Way to just north of its junction at Cross Keys, came into effect on Monday (18 May) .
This follows a parking consultation, in which the new restrictions were supported by the majority of residents and businesses.
Until the 29th of June, anyone parking illegally will not be ticketed but will receive warnings on the vehicles as well as the details of two car parks which can be used for free in the evenings.
After this date, transgressors will be subject to fines of up to £70.
