This week is Recycle Week and Surrey residents are being urged to recycle one extra plastic bottle per week instead of throwing it away.

The County Council has revealed just 27 per cent of plastic waste is recycled, leaving 25,000 tonnes in landfill every year at a cost to the taxpayer of over £200,000.
