As part of their ongoing water mains renewal programme, Sutton and East Surrey Water will begin works to replace the main in Victoria Road, Horley over the schools’ summer holidays.

The works are scheduled to begin next Monday (20 July) between the junctions of Russell’s Crescent & Consort Way East and this section of Victoria Road will be closed until the end of August.

Apart from some increased noise and temporary traffic lights and diversions, shops and businesses should be unaffected by the works.

The company will be working extended hours during the week and on Saturday mornings to ensure they complete the work before the schools go back in September.

This scheme is the final part of a much larger project in the Horley area in which the company has invested a total of £1.3M over the past four years.
