Tandridge Residents are making the most of the upgraded recycling service which was launched last December.
Figures for recycled textiles, batteries and small electrical items have been increasing each month.
Since the service was launched, the council, working with Biffa has collected 15 tonnes of textiles (including paired shoes), 10 tonnes of small electrical items and 1 tonne of batteries.
This is in addition to the 1,663 tonnes of food waste and 5,800 tonnes of mixed recycling collected.
Which of course makes Tandridge a much greener place.
