Three off-licences in Crawley have been caught selling alcohol to children.

The volunteers, aged between 15 and 16, were taking part in a test purchase operation conducted by Sussex Police at the end of October.

Members of staff involved in selling the alcohol from Himani Stores in Langley Parade; Galaxy Internet Cafe in Ifield and Handy Corner in Southgate were each issued a penalty notice of £90.

Four other premises tested refused to sell the alcohol.
