An investigation has been launched after a man was attacked and robbed in Crawley.

The victim, a 36 year-old homeless man, was walking by the underpass of Crawley Avenue at the junction with Ifield Avenue shortly before 6 o’clock the afternoon of 11th November.

He was approached by three suspects.  One engaged the victim in conversation whilst the other two grabbed him from behind.  The 36 year-old was forced to his knees and he was punched as they tried to take his rucksack.

The offenders ran off with his mobile phone.
