A robber who targeted banks in Reigate and Guildford has been handed a prison sentence.
Paul Williams was known as the ‘straw hat man’ because of clothing worn during the first robbery. It was this description which brought forward a number of witnesses.
Williams pleaded guilty to the robbery of Lloyds Bank in Reigate High Street and attempted robbery of Lloyds Bank in Merrow earlier this year.
He was sentenced on Monday to 34 months behind bars.
