Alan Taylor, Transport Manager at Mole Valley District Council has received a special award

This was in recognition of his work with Dorking Food Bank where he went ‘Above & Beyond’ his normal duties to assist The Dorking Food Bank Team.

Surprised at his desk by the Leader of the Council, Councillor James Friend and a team from The Food Bank, Mr Taylor was presented with an ‘Above & Beyond’ award, Mole Valley’s recognition for staff that have gone above and beyond their duties to assist others.

The council have provided a secure and dry area for the Food Bank to store and organise the food that is donated to them.

And it’s thanks to Mr Taylor’s efforts that council are able to support the Food Bank in their work for the local community.
