Over two hundred volunteers have been thanked for the valuable contribution they make to East Surrey Hospital’s patients, visitors and staff.

A special event was held for the volunteers whose ages range from 16 years old to 92.

An honorary award was presented to 88 year old Redhill resident, Gordon Thomson who has volunteered for 25 years.   Mr Thomson had a two week trial at the hospital in 1990 and enjoyed it so much that he is still helping 25 years later.
