Tandridge Tool Thefts

Surrey Police has warned van owners in the Tandridge area to be on their guard following a number of tool thefts in Godstone and Blindley Heath.

On Wednesday two men were seen breaking into a Transit van in Hunters Chase in South Godstone at around 11 pm. Despite running off when the victim challenged them, the offenders still managed to make off with some drills and torches.

On the same night, the owner of a van parked at The Bell Inn pub in Godstone returned to find one of the van windows smashed and various tools stolen.

Police also received a third report on Wednesday night, that two men were trying to break into vehicles at the Forman Institute in Blindley Heath.
