Surrey Police is urging parents to be vigilant about falling victim to online crime.

Officers are investigating a report that a teenage boy was blackmailed by someone he was befriended by on the internet.

Surrey Police has issued some advice to parents which includes keeping the computer in a family room where you can monitor your child’s activities, and not giving out personal information online.
