Do you have roadside hedges or trees growing on your property? If so, it could be time for a bit of maintenance.
Surrey County Council have told us that February is the best time of year to dig out the hedge clippers and cut back any vegetation that might be obstructing public footpaths.
The Council will also be trimming public roadside hedges and trees this month, but bushes and trees that grow on private land must be cut back by the landowners.
Every year, the council gets an average of 8,000 calls reporting overgrown hedges, many of which are on private land.
You can read more about maintaining hedges and trees on the roadside on the Surrey County Council website.
