Rail services in Sussex and Surrey have not fared well in a survey carried out by Which? Which? surveyed 7,000 rail passengers to find the best and worst train companies, and those with frequent delays.
Out of twenty two train companies, Thameslink and Southern were 4th and 5th respectively for the highest percentage of delays.
Passengers rated their train company on eight aspects of service, including availability of seating and value for money.
Southern, SouthEastern and Thameslink were all in the bottom 4 for overall satisfaction.
When asked about improvements the most popular request was for more carriages at peak times. Best performing were two small companies, Grand Central and Hull who run a handful of long distance services.
