Excited children in Bewbush flocked to their newly refurbished play area when it reopened last week.
The area, in Coxcomb Walk, has undergone a makeover in recent weeks and now boasts an array of modern play equipment.
Local children and parents were asked what equipment they wanted to see in their play area during a consultation last year.
Crawley Borough Council has installed a flat and cradle swing, a multi-play unit comprising climbing net, climbing wall, slide and fireman’s pole, as well as balancing poles for natural play.
It got top marks from the children. One of them said: “If I had to give it a mark out of 10 I would give it 10.”
