The parents of a boy who died after suffering anaphylaxis while on holiday have made a heartfelt ‘thank you’ donation to East Surrey Hospital.
Cameron would have celebrated his eighth birthday last month but passed away following an allergic reaction. His parents, Riz and Cassandra Wahid, presented a cheque for £3000 to staff on Outwood Ward at the hospital in Redhill.
Cameron had spent a lot of time in the children’s ward as a result of his asthma and allergies.
Parents, staff and students at Blackwell Primary School in East Grinstead, where Cameron was a pupil, contributed a substantial amount to the fundraising efforts.
Meanwhile Lingfield FC are hosting a charity football match and fun day in his memory on Sunday 20th March, starting 11 o’clock with proceeds going to Allergy UK.
