Disqualified driver from Horsham jailed after high-speed police pursuit

A disqualified driver has been jailed after reaching speeds of 90mph during a police pursuit.

Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras in Crawley and Horsham alerted police to Robert Freeman, who was already disqualified from driving.

The Audi Q7 failed to stop when requested by police on 18th March and a pursuit ensued.

The 27 year-old carpenter from Horsham pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

He was sentenced to 20 months imprisonment, disqualified from driving for three years and ordered to pay £140 victim surcharge.
