Sussex Police will launch its new mental health scheme, to coincide with Mental health Awareness Week.
The Mental Health Advocacy scheme which launches this week. aims to help people who are suffering with mental health issue and to also break the stigma and increase the understanding of these issues.
Sussex and Surrey police have trained 110 volunteers who will act as a point of contact for anyone who is struggling with mental health or they are concerned about someone they know.
One in four people will suffer some form of mental health problem in their lifetime.
