An investigation is underway after a woman suffered serious injuries during a collision in East Grinstead.

The 62-year-old driver of a red Daihatsu was taken to hospital where she remains after the collision on the A264 Friday afternoon.

The driver of a grey Kia, a 44-year-old woman, and her 14 year-old passenger both suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The road was closed for just under 6 hours for recovery work and investigations.
