Tandridge District Council have agreed to give a Council Tax discount of up to 12 months to all homeowners who had to leave their property or remained in part of their home following damage in the June the 7th floods

This decision will provide continued support those affected by the flooding in Caterham on the Hill, Caterham Valley, Chaldon, Outwood and Whyteleafe.

The relief will apply to both unoccupied and partly occupied properties.

All households who initially received the three month discount will have the discount extended to six months. Additionally, in exceptional circumstances where a longer period of exemption is needed, an application can be made by the resident for a further six months up to total maximum discount period of 12 months.
