Police patrols in East Grinstead are to be increased following a spate of car break-ins – six have been reported since the 12th October.

Most recently two youths, aged 16 and 17 were arrested in Dunnings Road on suspicion of being equipped for theft.  Police were called at 3.40 in the morning on Tuesday after three people were seen with torches in a nearby car park.

People are being urged to make sure no valuables are on display in cars and to double-check the central locking.
