Reigate & Banstead Borough Council says it hopes to be financially self-sufficient by 2018 despite government funding stopping.

Speaking after being shortlisted for the Entrepreneurial Council Award for a 2nd year running, Leader Victor Broad said they are working hard to become more commercially minded so they can continue to improve services in the area.

It’s the second award they’ve been shortlisted for after being chosen for the Local Authority of the Year in June.
