A man has died in a fire in a block of flats in Reigate.  

Police officers and the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service were called to Fir Tree Walk on Friday afternoon, following the discovery of a fire in a first floor flat.  A man in his 40s was rescued and taken to hospital, but he sadly died on Saturday morning as a result of his injuries. Another man, and a woman managed to escape the property.

Officers are carrying out a full investigation into the circumstances of the fire.
