A new shared building control service for East Surrey will be open for business from February next year.  

Tandridge District Council, Reigate and Banstead, and Mole Valley councils will form the Southern Building Control Partnership.  Its focus will be on excellent customer service to residents and businesses.  

The Councils say they have to remain competitive, as building control services can be provided by the private sector.
