A young former East Surrey Hospital patient from Caterham has raised money to buy gifts for children who are in hospital over Christmas.  

Nine-year-old Isabelle Young ran ten kilometres in the Riddlesdown 5K Park run twice, and raised over £150.  Earlier this year, Isabelle spent five days on Outwood Children’s Ward after being admitted to hospital with peritonitis and having surgery.  

She wanted to make poorly children feel happy at Christmas and thank the staff who helped her get better.
