Reigate and Banstead residents and businesses are urged to share their views on how money raised from new development should be spent.
In April the Council introduced the Community Infrastructure Levy, a new charge which new home developers and supermarkets are required to pay, to help fund infrastructure and services. Most of the money generated through the levy will fund large projects such as schools, healthcare and transport. However 15% of the money will be available for smaller local projects. Known as the Local Improvements Fund, it can be spent on a wide range of projects to improve neighbourhoods in the borough.
The consultation closes at 5 pm on 6th February and residents can give their views by completing a short online survey at reigate-banstead.gov.uk/localfund.
