Surrey and Sussex drivers are urged to remember “It Can Wait” when using mobile phones behind the wheel.
The Sussex Safer Roads Partnership has launched the “It Can Wait” campaign to remind drivers that there is nothing more important than focussing on their driving. Sussex Police is enforcing the message from now until Sunday. East Sussex and West Sussex Fire & Rescue Services will be supporting the campaign by focussing on prevention.
Currently, the penalties for using a phone whilst driving include a £100 fine and three points on the driving licence; this is expected to increase this year.
