A man has been jailed for 10 years for raping a woman in Goffs Park in Crawley last year.

On the 27th February, 22 year-old Craig Line from Horsham befriended his victim before heading to the park with her, where he prepared cocaine on her phone.  Taking her mobile back she knocked the drugs on the ground, it was then Line got angry, punching her in the face and then raping her.

Although she managed to get away, he followed her and forced himself on her again.

Detective Constable John Hord, says the “victim showed great courage and composure throughout the investigation” unlike Line who “showed no remorse for his actions and has left the victim with psychological scars.”
