A man has been charged in connection with the attempted theft of an ATM in Oxted.
The incident happened at a petrol station in the High Street in the early hours of Saturday morning. Twenty one year old Mason Lyndsey from Croydon has been charged with causing an explosion that was likely to endanger life or damage property, attempted theft, obstruction of a police constable, and criminal damage to a police car.
He was remanded in custody and appeared at Staines Magistrates Court yesterday.
