Trainee firefighters from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service will be raising money for charity by climbing the equivalent of Mount Kilimanjaro … at Gatwick Airport!
On 28th April they will be climbing 5,895 metres in just two hours. The event will be held at Gatwick Airport between 1.00 and 3.00 pm in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity.
The 11 recruits began their journey to become community firefighters in February and are currently undergoing a 14 week intensive training course at West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service’s training centre in Horley.
