An 8-year jail sentence has been given to a man for an acid attack outside Cineworld in Crawley.

27-year old Michael McPherson threw drain cleaner over Samir Hussain, scarring him across the face and arm in August 2015.

Judge Guy Anthony said he would be ‘failing in his public duty’ if he did not imprison McPherson, who has previous convictions for criminal damage and burglary.
