A 29-year-old man is in hospital with head injuries following a four-vehicle accident on the M25 this morning.

Five others suffered minor injuries when a lorry, a van and two cars hit each other around 8 am on the slip road of junction seven of the M25 towards Gatwick.

There were delays of 20 minutes as emergency services closed one lane so as to clear the road.
