West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is campaigning for safer roads across the county during Global Road Safety Week.
Global Road Safety Week is organised by the United Nations. It will focus on speeding and what can be done to address it. During the week, the Fire and Rescue Service will also be supporting My Red Thumb Day which aims to encourage people to stop using their mobile phones while driving.
Fire crews will be out and about in their own communities all week to ask people to make the Slow Down pledge, while raising awareness of the dangers of speeding and using electronic devices at the wheel. East Grinstead crews will be visiting London Road and the High Street, and Horsham crews will be at local supermarkets during the week.
