Cries of “I’ve been attacked” were heard from a van as it drove past a pub in Nutfield on Sunday evening.

It happened at the Inn on the Pond on Nutfield Marsh Road at about 9:30 pm as it headed towards Merstham.

Police are trying to establish whether it’s a genuine incident or a joke.
