Sussex construction firm, Rydon, who recently refurbished Grenfell Tower in London which was gutted by fire on Wednesday, says it is “shocked” and its “immediate thoughts are with those affected.”

The company based in Forest Row completed its work on the building in the summer of last year and says it met all regulations and rules and will now cooperate and support all enquires into the causes of the incident.

It says at this moment it would be “inappropriate” to “speculate or comment further.”
