Surrey County Council says it is making good progress with the work on the A22 Eastbourne Road near South Godstone.  

The scheme aims to reduce the chances of flooding.  Residents have reported problems with HGVs using some narrow lanes which aren’t part of the diversion.  The Council has installed extra signs to make the route as clear as possible.  Work is scheduled to finish by the end of the school summer holidays.
