Redhill man pleads guilty to harassment

A Redhill man has been given a two-year community order after pleading guilty to harassing a former partner with phone calls.

Martyn Kent made 30 calls in the early hours of the morning and left voicemails with threats – including to kill the victim’s boyfriend in December last year and January this year.

During his trial, Kent also admitted to cannabis addiction and debt problems and the court heard how he had tried to take his own life at one point.
